Write a common specification
Name the capacity, intended location and exact model configuration for each offer. Note whether upgrades, controls, roof kits or other accessories are included. Two suppliers can quote different products in response to the same short enquiry, so compare the scope explicitly.
Separate the cost lines
Record equipment, delivery, assembly or installation, electrical and site work, and necessary extras. Ask each supplier to identify included items clearly. Enter zero only when the cost is genuinely included or not applicable; leave an unanswered item blank.
Check what happens at delivery
Ask where the delivery service ends and whether the quoted team moves, assembles and commissions the unit. Clarify difficult access, stairs and any lifting equipment. Record who is responsible for the site being ready. A written quote should make the handover point understandable.
Compare time and terms alongside price
Record quote expiry, delivery estimate, payment milestones, cancellation conditions and the contracting business. A lower price with unclear timing may not suit your needs. Do not treat an estimate as a guaranteed installation date.
Use the comparison as a question list
Our comparison tool totals your own cost inputs and highlights blanks. It does not rate equipment quality or select a supplier for you. Download the worksheet, send outstanding questions directly to the suppliers and update it when the answers arrive.
