Compression boots: what to compare before buying

Focus on fit, included components and service arrangements.

Research checked 24 September 2026 · Recovery Bench editorial desk

Begin with fit

Ask for the maker’s sizing guide and compare it with your measurements. Confirm whether one order includes a pair of boots, the controller or pump, hoses, battery if applicable, and a charger. A replacement sleeve is not the same purchase as a complete system.

Check the experience you are buying

Compare portability, mains or battery operation, available controls, ease of cleaning and storage. More settings do not establish better results. If you can, try the exact size and model before ordering.

Compare equivalent packages

Proactive Recovery’s category mixes full systems, bundles and replacement components. At our check it listed BLACKROLL Compression Boots 2.0 at A$890 and Therabody JetBoots Prime at A$799. These are price examples, not a ranking or a claim that the packages are equivalent.

Read return conditions before opening

Ask what happens if the fit is wrong, whether a change-of-mind return is available after use, and who pays return freight. Keep a copy of the answer and the warranty terms.

Keep equipment research separate from treatment

We have not tested these products and do not recommend a pressure setting or treatment schedule. Follow the product instructions and seek advice from a qualified health professional about personal suitability.
